Come be a Lion - the body wisdom of mammal play
Come and transform into a lion. The permission and invitation is to feel oneself into being a lion in body, and senses, and then perhaps thoughts and identity. Dropping from our vertical position of balancing on two feet far away from the ground, we drop to all fours, to our home on the earth. Drop onto hands turning into paws with pads designed to absorb vibrations so we move without sound.
What is it like to have a body perfectly designed to hunt? What can we sense through the backs of our shoulders, the sides of our ribs, the whiskers in our cheeks. Can we smell the warm skin of a deer beyond our sight?
What is it like to have strength beyond our belief, and also be able to lie invisible in the grass giving off no energy?
What are our relationships to the other lions in our pride; our family, the ones we hunt with.
Standing again, our hands regaining their shape, what of the lion can we sense still? The quiet tawny presence which walks without sound.
Come be a lion.
